Seems to me, we are about to find out if free speech really counts -- or if we are in for a new era of competing mobs led by reckless charlatans. The followers and the followed. The sick and the sycophantic. All leading us to... what? Jonestown 2.0. Ok, maybe not that...But, nevertheless, it takes courage to question the day's received wisdom and offer a contrarian view, especially in a hair-trigger, socially-networked, other-directed environment that's increasingly susceptible to mindless group-think. You took a stand. I'll stand with you. But, hopefully, we can leave future opto-rectomies to the professionals. Wow. Just read this piece. Then I read Scoble’s.
