Thank you for sharing these thoughts – going beyond business and communication and excellence, and offering a focus on perspective and purpose. It’s truly amazing when we consider the exact conditions required for life on earth to exist and to continue; our existance is clearly not by chance, and therefore means something. So, as you asked, what are we doing with our existance? Thank you for being willing to ask the hard question.

Those of us reading Steve’s message are fortunate to be have the time to read it, the education to understand, the money to own a computer, the technology to connect to the internet, clothes to wear, food to eat, a bed to sleep on, and a roof over our heads. Some of us, even have jobs.

Many times we just take these things for granted. I do.

We forget that it is just happenstance that we were born into this society. We are just lucky that we are able to count these seemingly common items as blessings … most of the world is not as fortunate.

We all have more than we need and must remember to share such gifts.

With all the current blogging, posting and general BUZZ on customer experience…you have touched on the holy grail of customer experience success: people caring about people. There is no amount of marketing or technology that replaces this…look at all the postings and articles….week after week musings about what has gone wrong with all their “stuff”.

Merry Christmas to all at Cincom. I reached a lot of personal goals this year and fell short on a few others. Nice article! It’s so nice to see in today’s business environment that Cincom continues to operate as it has always done with far more than the “bottom line” dictating direction. As people, we have so much yet to do to make this world one of happiness for all. A world created with such precision that it enabled us to be here … but one in which we leave too much suffering around us. Christmas is a good time to remember, but so is January 3, April 11, August 3 … just any ordinary day. What is it that stops us all from loving one another so people everywhere have the potential of achieving their best and sharing with others … our families, friends, and millions of people we don’t even know. Americans are a generous people … statistically common Americans give and share more than others. That’s the way it should be because we have been so blessed. I will be upping my contributions to Christian Childrens Fund, one way I can get my own money out to people in the world with far less that I have. A tradition I started with my grandson, now two, is to give him a check so he can send a donation to CCF and buy crayons and food for others … my goal is to instill in him the desire to share as he grows older. Thanks, Steve, for reminding me that there is more I can do.

Thanks for the visual and audio images of what man is becoming today. What a powerful reminder this is of what man can do to his fellow man, when man has only man as his guide.

Without the moral compass of God working within us, we are lost, and all we have is continual, man inspired suffering.

Thanks for bringing us all back to our senses and opening our eyes to see that we’ve clouded up the true meaning of Christmas with stuff that really doesn’t matter. Christmas is about light, God created life in the beginning, and then once again He sent light into the world in the form of His Holy Son. May all those who believe reflect the love and light of Christ to all those in need of light, love, and hope. It’s all about love.
